Lauren Blanchette

Dr. Lauren Blanchette, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about helping individuals feel heard, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey. She earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Florida and holds both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Central Florida.

Dr. Blanchette began her nursing career in the Burn Intensive Care Unit at UF Health Shands, caring for critically ill burn patients and their families during some of the most difficult and vulnerable moments of their lives. It was through these experiences that she developed a deep appreciation for the importance of looking beyond a diagnosis and caring for the whole person. She saw firsthand how meaningful it can be to involve family and support systems in care while recognizing that every patient’s circumstances, needs, and goals are unique.

As a psychiatric provider, Dr. Blanchette has worked with individuals experiencing a wide range of mental health concerns. She believes that mental health care should be a partnership and strives to create a welcoming, judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable being themselves and openly discussing their concerns. She values taking the time to listen, understand what matters most to each patient, and work together to develop a treatment plan that feels both realistic and meaningful.

Above all, Dr. Blanchette wants her patients to know that they are more than a diagnosis. Her goal is to help each individual better understand their mental health, recognize their strengths, and feel supported as they work toward greater stability, confidence, and overall well-being.
