Jody Propst
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
Jody Propst is an ANCC Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She completed her B.S. of Science in Education, dual certified in elementary and exceptional student education. After 7 years of teaching, she transitioned into nursing. Most of her career has been at Wolfson Children’s Hospital in the Behavioral Health Unit. Professionally, she has experience with various psychiatric service lines, including the emergency room, the inpatient behavioral health unit, partial hospitalization program and outpatient.
Jody has always had a love for understanding behaviors and connecting with individuals. Coupled with her expertise in mental health disorders, Jody can facilitate healthy change to help individuals reach their full potential. Mental illness can negatively impact a person’s self-esteem, resilience, relationships, and identity.
The cornerstone of her practice includes a person centered approach that prioritizes overall wellness, healthy habits, lifestyles, and relationships. These goals are accomplished through developing a therapeutic rapport, consistent communication, collaboration with family and other providers, patient education, and the use of a variety of pharmacological and therapeutic interventions.
