Alex Hinderscheid

Alex Hinderscheid, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC is board-certified by the American Nurses
Credentialing Center as a Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing from Jacksonville University and his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from
the University of Central Florida.
Before pursuing advanced practice, Alex worked in a high-acuity intensive care unit, serving as a charge nurse and unit leader. He went on to obtain national certification as a Critical Care
Registered Nurse (CCRN) before transitioning to outpatient psychiatry, where he gained further
experience caring for patients with disordered eating.
Alex now provides psychiatric medication management and integrative care for children and
adults, with expertise in anxiety, depression, ADHD, and trauma-related conditions. His
background spanning critical care and mental health informs an approach that blends evidence-
based medicine with holistic care. He emphasizes education and shared decision-making, helping patients understand not only what treatments work, but why they work.
