Miriam Dickson
Collaborating Psychiatrist
Dr. Dickson is a fellowship-trained, double board-certified psychiatrist in both Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Adult Psychiatry. She is deeply committed to the power of early intervention and its ability to positively influence the course of psychiatric illness across the lifespan.
Dr. Dickson provides comprehensive, compassionate care grounded in a biopsychosocial approach and informed by evidence-based medicine. She believes in partnering closely with patients and their families to develop individualized treatment plans that support long-term mental and emotional wellness. Her philosophy emphasizes behavioral and therapeutic interventions whenever possible, with medication management incorporated thoughtfully when clinically indicated.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Dickson is dedicated to helping children, adolescents, and families thrive while navigating life’s challenges. She fosters a safe, collaborative environment built on trust, honest communication, and mutual respect. When treating children and adolescents, she works closely with parents, teachers, therapists, pediatricians, and other members of the care team to ensure a coordinated approach that supports both mental and physical health.
This same collaborative philosophy extends to her work with adult patients. Dr. Dickson partners with individuals and their healthcare providers to create personalized treatment strategies that promote overall well-being and help patients achieve their goals.
Dr. Dickson currently accepts patients ages 4–21 and also sees select adult patients on a case-by-case basis. Her dual training in Adult Psychiatry and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry provides a unique perspective and allows her to care for patients across different stages of life, supporting continuity of care throughout their developmental journey.
